Q.ANTUM Technology by Q Cells
Q.ANTUM Technology by Q Cells is based on Passivated Emitter Rear Cell (PERC) technology. PERC allows for the passivation of the solar cell’s rear side, which involves installing a reflective layer, designed to capture previously unused sunlight back into the cell where it can be converted into solar electricity.
Q.ANTUM solar panels combine the best features of all known cell technologies to achieve high performance levels at low cost of electricity (LCOE). This advanced technology ensures Q CELLS solar modules achieve maximum luminous efficiency under real, day to day conditions, even under cloudy skies.
This is achieved through higher yield per surface area, lower BOS costs, higher power classes, producing efficiency rates of up to 19.5 %. Q.ANTUM Technology supercharges ordinary crystalline solar cells and modules without the need to involve a complex new cell design, nor require special system components.
The rear surfaces of QANTUM solar cells are treated with a special nano coating that functions much like a typical household mirror. Rays of sunlight that would otherwise go to waste are reflected back through the cell to generate more electricity.
